My real estate education started in 2011, when I bought my first property, a pre construction condo in Toronto. My wife, then my girlfriend, bought a townhouse in Hamilton around the same time. We were in our twenties, figuring it out as we went, and learning firsthand what it feels like to sign on the dotted line with your own money. Those early moves taught me more about real estate than any course ever could.
Before real estate, I worked a corporate job. I was good at it, but something was missing. I managed people and processes, and at the end of the day it felt like I was helping a company, not helping people. Real estate changed that. When someone trusts me with buying or selling their home, one of the biggest financial decisions of their life, that's not something I take lightly. It's an honour to walk people through it, and it's the reason I do this. So I built my business to reflect that. When you work with me, you work with me. No handoffs, no junior agents, no corporate runaround.
As for how I ended up here: I grew up in Toronto, my wife is from Niagara, and we met in the middle at McMaster University in Hamilton. When it came time to put down roots, we settled between our two families in Burlington. That was over ten years ago, and we've loved it ever since. It also means the markets I serve aren't just territories on a map. Toronto is where I'm from, Hamilton is where I studied, Niagara is family, and Burlington is home.
