Hamilton, Ontario

Hamilton value, with an agent who knows the city.

I spent my university years at McMaster, my wife's first property was a Hamilton townhouse, and I've been working this market ever since. Hamilton offers some of the best real estate value in the region, and I help buyers, sellers, and investors make the most of it.

Why Hamilton

The best value play in the Golden Horseshoe.

Hamilton has transformed. What was once written off as a steel town is now one of the most dynamic markets in southern Ontario, with a growing food and arts scene, major hospital and university employers, and neighbourhoods that offer space and character at prices Toronto and Oakville buyers can hardly believe.

The city's range is enormous. Century homes in the lower city, family subdivisions across the Mountain, estate living in Ancaster and Dundas, lakeside communities in Stoney Creek, and small town charm in Waterdown. Whether you're a first time buyer priced out of Halton, a family moving up, or an investor hunting for fundamentals, Hamilton has an answer. My job is knowing which one is yours.

"I learned this city as a student, watched it transform over fifteen years, and now I help people build their lives here."

Where I work most

Hamilton areas I know well

I work across all of Hamilton. These are the pockets where my clients most often buy and sell, and where my knowledge runs deepest.

The Hamilton Mountain
Family value, city convenience
The Mountain is where Hamilton families get the most house for their money. Established neighbourhoods with solid brick homes, bungalows, and townhouses, good schools, and quick Linc and Red Hill access. For buyers priced out of Burlington, the Mountain is often the conversation that changes everything.
Westdale and the McMaster Area
My old stomping grounds
I spent my university years here, so I know Westdale's tree lined streets, its village core, and its mix of character homes, student rentals, and family houses firsthand. It's one of Hamilton's most walkable and storied neighbourhoods, and a perennial favourite for both families and investors.
Stoney Creek
Lakeside growth
Stoney Creek stretches from the lake to the escarpment with newer subdivisions, established pockets, and waterfront communities along Fifty Point. It's one of Hamilton's fastest growing areas, popular with commuters and young families, with easy QEW access toward Burlington and Niagara.
Waterdown
Small town feel, big convenience
Waterdown sits right on Burlington's shoulder, blending a historic village core with newer family communities. For buyers torn between Hamilton value and Burlington proximity, Waterdown is often the perfect middle answer, and since it borders my home market, I work it constantly.

Hamilton, area by area

Wherever you're looking in Hamilton, I can help. Here's how the city breaks down.

Lower City and Downtown
Hamilton's historic core offers century homes, brick Victorians, and a genuine urban revival. Neighbourhoods like Kirkendall, Durand, and Corktown pair character architecture with walkability, the GO station, and the city's celebrated food scene on Locke and James Street.
The Mountain
Central, East, and West Mountain neighbourhoods deliver established family living with parks, schools, and shopping. Housing stock runs from postwar bungalows to newer builds, making the Mountain one of the region's best value stories at nearly every budget.
Ancaster, Dundas, and Flamborough
Hamilton's west side offers its most prestigious addresses. Ancaster's estate homes and golf communities, Dundas's storied downtown against the escarpment, and Flamborough's rural properties give buyers character and space that's hard to find anywhere else in the region.
East Hamilton and Stoney Creek
From the harbourfront east through Stoney Creek to Winona, this side of the city mixes affordability, new construction, and lakeside living. Growing communities like Binbrook to the south round out some of Hamilton's strongest options for young families.
Common questions

Hamilton real estate questions, answered straight

Who is the best real estate agent in Hamilton?
The best Hamilton agent for you knows the city beyond the listings, understands value, and works for your outcome. I'm Bernard Arzadon, a McMaster grad who has worked the Hamilton market for years, serving buyers, sellers, and investors across the city. Call me at 289-778-3078 and decide for yourself.
Is Hamilton a good place to buy a home?
For many buyers, Hamilton is the best answer in the region. You get more home, more lot, and more character per dollar than almost anywhere in the Golden Horseshoe, with a GO connection to Toronto and a city that keeps investing in itself. The key is choosing the right neighbourhood for your goals, and that's where I come in.
Which Hamilton neighbourhoods are best for families?
The Mountain, Stoney Creek, Waterdown, and Ancaster are consistent family favourites, each with a different balance of price, space, schools, and commute. Westdale and Dundas offer character options closer to the core. The right fit depends on your budget and lifestyle, which is exactly the first conversation we'd have.
Is Hamilton good for real estate investors?
Hamilton has long been a favourite for investors, with strong rental demand driven by McMaster, the hospitals, and commuters. As an active investor myself, I evaluate Hamilton opportunities with an owner's eye and can help you separate real fundamentals from hype.
Do you only work in Hamilton?
Hamilton is one of my three core markets. I'm based in Burlington, where I've lived for over ten years, and I also serve the Niagara region, where my wife's family is from. All three markets, one agent who knows them personally.
